My puppy tries to dig holes in my carpet?

She seems like she's looking for something. She digs her nails into the carpet like its dirt. I take her outside about 3 times a day so she can dig outside, but she still does it. Why?

My poodle did that when she was a puppy. She actually dug a hole in my carpet right in the middle of the room. I don't know why she did it, but I bought this spray stuff called Bitter Yuck. It is not the kind that tastes hot and burns their mouth or eyes. It just tastes really bitter--like yuck. They picked a perfect name for it. Spray it on whatever she is digging or biting on and she will stop, or at least my poodle puppy did. When you spray it, be careful to spray it low to the item because if it gets airborne and you get it in your mouth, whew! Bitter Yuck! I got mine at PetSmart.

its probably somthing on the carpet thats smells good or something, and my dog does that to, and my dog doesn't like digging outside either, thats normel for a dog to do that.

well he maybe feels the thing to dig in the earth thats maybbe because hes claws are growing or he wants to dig something or undig like the oposite.

well puppies like that texture of the carpet. so if it's soft they think they can rip it. To see what's on the other side. but hopefully she'll she there's nothing she'll get out of doing that and she'll stop.

if you can not watch her all time then either put her outside for a little while or put her in a dog crate when you can not watch her.

my dog is like that to my grandma says she will give her away if she dies it again so if you see her doing it again just hit her not so hard in thetop of her butt. now mined stop and she is doing it outside.
