Okay, so I managed to call a guy to ask him to the Sadie Hawkins dance, and at first he said yes, but then he called back and told me that his parents aren't letting him go to any dances until next year...was it because he doesn't like me, or was it total rejection? I'm so confused! He added that he would have loved to go with me and told me he'll go with me next year, but I'm not sure if he was just being nice, or if he really meant that. By the way, his parents are VERY religious, so I was wondering if taht was the problem...

A lot of parents have rules about their kids not attending dances until a certain age. I do. If it was a rejection he would not have added that he would have loved to go with you or that he would go with you next year, he would have just made his excuse and that would be that.
