Some ppl say that when u put gel its best to put it on dry hair so it wont get white stuff but the bottles say

put it in wet hair, but dont use a lot, it might get sticky or flake. use a round brush to dry it with and it comes out smooth. if all else fails switch to MOUSSE!

Put it on wet hair and then you dry it. If you put it on dry hair it get's really greasy and looks dull and heavy. If you have a good gel, it won't leave 'white stuff' whichever way you do it.
If you have flyaway hair when it's dry just put a bit on the ends but not much. You want hair with life in it.

Most hairgels are bound to flake whether your hair is wet or dry because of the alcohol content. TYpically the more expensive the gel is the less likely it will flake whether applied to wet or dry hair. AVEDA has several gels that are alcohol free and light weight

I prefer to put it on wet hair because it hold better & looks better.
the white stuff only shows when you put too much and the gel is not a good brand or cheap

properly in my experience it takes a pair of million/2 a shift at KFC for my hair to grow to be greasy so particular that's mandatory to bathe it each and every day. additionally the undeniable fact that my hair is so thick long and curly that i won't be able to brush it with out washing it would not make it from now on powerful. If I skipped a pair days then i could seem as though Einstein on a foul hair day and could could desire to make up for the couple of days by skill of taking a 2 hour bathe.
