She said a few racially interpreted comments that may not even have been intended to be racist. Most people make certain comments that could be interpreted like that but they are never heard because they are not splashed about on TV. Not everyone who makes comments like that supports the BNP or is even racist. She was pretty convincing on BBLB this morning that she didn't mean it, I'm not saying what she did was right but benefit of the doubt and all that

Jade is an idiot but probably not a racist . The term Racist is over used as a replacement for prejudiced. Most people are prejudiced it is in our nature as we cant like everything. I did not watch the show but had to endure hours of tabloid tat both on T.V and Newspapers. I can't say I have lost any sleep over the debate but would like to commute without that ugly face plastered all over the Metro.

No I don't, because I don't think what Jade said was racist - ignorant, rude, and definitely bullying, but not racist. In fact, out of all the comments the only comment that actually stands out as racist is when Jermaine referred to Jade as 'White trash', as this is the only comment to make a direct reference to the colour of someone's skin. Yet not a word out of the media for this one!

Calling Shilpa a poppadum is like calling a Scotsman a haggis (and having called the Scotsman who lives with me this, he laughed and certainly did not consider my comment as racist). So why the difference where Shilpa is concerned?

Shilpa is a beautiful and intelligent person, leagues above that of Jade. Jade's only way of dealing with this is being viciously nasty and bullying Shilpa, but I don't think that makes Jade racist. In the original BB Jade was having some equally nasty exchanges with Sophie, yet this was never classed as racist, and yet say similar things to someone of a different race and it is racist?

Jade is not racist - if you feel she is then you should also include Shilp and Jermaine Jackson - both have been racist in the house. Shilpa has mimicked the way that english speak and pronounce words and has critisised our culture. Jermaine has referred to Jade and her family as white trash - funny that when white people say the same things, it's considered racist. If Jermaine can call Jade white trash then in my book it is totally acceptable to call his mother black trash. By the way, calling someone a dog and complaining that they put their hands in your food is not racist for god's sake. I didn't hear the country leaping to Jade's defence when she was in the house the first time - you know, when she was made a laughing stock and bullied herself - she is mixed race afterall - where we all then? Hypocrites
