I bought a second hand car and I didnt have a code ,

my battery went falt and when it got charged the car the radio couldnt work ,so if I bought new car radio will I need the code still for the new one, or will the new one come with a new code

the new one will have its own new code. but you could have got the old one decoded for £10 from a car radio shop

the new radio should come with its own code.
if u forget the code and u cant get the code remembered in any way just put the radio in a freezer for a night and it should be working in the morning without the code:)(never tried that myself but many ppl told me it worked)

The new one will come with a new code. Although most thesedays have the pop off fronts so you wont need a code.
Id go for one of those.
Orpahan boy is correct you can get it decoded for about a tenner. Look in the yellow pages for radio decoding.

Contact a dealer of the make of car and they will give you your radio code. Just need your registration number or chassis number.

no, the code is specific to the radio, so you will get a new one with a new radio.

you wont need a code for a new stereo. only needed for the cars original one. it may be worth phoning a main dealer for your car they may have the code on their data base.

you should be able to contact a dealer of the make of your car and i believe they could give you one that might make the old one work
