I'm not entirely sure whether I believe in God or not. I do agree that a great many things don't make sense, however. Most of these things seem to be tied up in the details that make up the differences among religions.
In 1054, I believe it was, the Eastern Church separated from the Western Church over the question of whether the Holy Spirit proceeded from the Father and the Son, or from the Father alone.
Later, during the Reformation, numerous quibbles about doctrine led to the formation of a raftload of sects.
I once lived in Oklahoma City, and would drive about a mile from my apartment to the main road. In the space of that mile there were four different Christian churches.
I have come to the conclusion that we humans don't know anything about God, beginning with whether he exists or not, and then, assuming he does, how he'd like us to behave regarding our relationship to him
That being the case, I just try to treat my fellow humans with love and respect, and do a good day's work.

Yes .
Here's a story for you !
"A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."
"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!"

yes, you must have faith.....but just
believing in God is not enough.
the question is what will you do with Jesus Christ and His atoning death for YOU on the cross.
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
but you can also learn a lot about how great God is by reading His Word.

You should explore the different faiths briefly in their general idea about God and who He is. And believe to whatever you choose then according what matches your mind.
By the way, it's 'sense' not 'scence'.

Whate we need is to accept that there is always mystery.
We will never know it all, no matter how many Einstein's and Marie Curie's we may have.
Spolied brats, the lot of us, attempting to be gods ourselves, eh? :-)
But we need moral codes, we need to not all kill each other over a stalk of cauliflower,
so God seems to bring many Westerners in line, and I'll let that be.

What to believe is your right and decision. It is not very sound however, to believe in things which otherwise don't make sense. You would have a really hard time in life if you applied that philosophy to other areas of your life, no?

I know what you mean. I have learned that it isn't necessary for me to understand "everything" all at once. I find that as I pray and seek the Almighty God in my meditations and my ordinary life it is there I find my answers.
Good question Peace

FIRST,
(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Unless you are willing to Study and Learn from God and His Word, you will never grow!
Spiritual Maturity takes a lifetime! May adults Never Mature!
Perhaps you need to see this about God and His Word, First!
(Isa 55:6) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
(Isa 55:7) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
(Isa 55:8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
(Isa 55:9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
(Isa 55:10) For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
(Isa 55:11) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Thanks, RR

Belief is not enough, for even satan believes in God.
James, chapter 2
"26": For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
