Genetically Speaking, There is no such thing as a bald or naked chicken. If you dont want to do the work in raiseing them and plucking them when you kill them for food, then you are better off buying your chicken at the store for eating.

The only way I saw of balding chickens were when owners dont take proper care of them and they get mites that causes them to loose most of, but not all of, their feathers. You wouldnt want to eat their meat anyhow.

thank you for my first chuckle of the day. it's people like you that ought to run this country, oh to hell with that, rule the earth. yes, having bought an organic kosher turkey for thanksgiving (i think turkey is a cousin to a chicken) and using a needle nose pliers to remove some stubborn pin feathers... it really put a damper on my thanksgiving. then again, what about all the people who are employed as chicken pluckers? hmmmmmm, what would they do? all their children will be hungry and shoeless when they are in the unemployment line! anyway, the whole sick and twisted idea made me think of a song that my son came home singing... as taught to him by his honors math teacher...

it goes like this....

my old man's a finger-lickin chicken plucker...
whatdya think about that?
he wears a finger-lickin chicken plucker suit and
a finger-lickin chicken plucker hat!

anyway, at this point i'd rather have a have a small white fluffy dog and a small white fluffy cat who had no hair... this vacuuming 3 times a day barely leaves me time to scour the internet, trolling for meaningful discussion.

Its already been thought of, I'm afraid, a few years ago. Here's a news article about it:

They have since gone on to breed featherless chickens quite successfully.

The ones I buy in the shop are bald and wrapped in cellophane. But they're also dead, so the fun of killing them is gone - that's a drawback.
