There is no particular breed. The best dogs are bred by knowledgeable reputable experienced breeders who know what their breed should look like and how they should act. They breed purely to improve the breed. They do not breed to make money, they know not only their own dogs but the dogs many generations back in the pedigrees.

I have a Husky/German Shepherd Mix(mostly husky) and this was by far the easiest dog to house train and teach. He and I communicate, he can tell me if he wants to go outside, on the portch, for a walk, if he wants food, or a diffrent kind of food, if I'm annoying him, if he wants to go to sleep, if its too warm in the house, ect ect. My other dog's have all had special personalities, but they can't communicate with me like Roscoe does.

West Highland White Terrier or "Westie". They are small, clean, intellegent and very good natured. They are a terrier, so they're somewhat spirited (high energy) and a bit of a yapper...which I don't mind. I want a dog that alerts me when stuff is going on.
They are the perfect dog...trust me.

it depends on what you want to do with it. a short haired dog is easyer to take care of than a dog with coat. You need to look on the akc.org site.
