I was unemployed all year, but my father told me that i should still be elegible for earned income credit. Does anyone know if i am able to do this? If so, what information do I need?

No. You need earned income and unemployment compensation does not count. See the link below.

It's called the EARNED INCOME credit for a reason. And unemployment comp, if you received it, does not make you eligible for the EIC.

no..you have to work..earn income credit..you have to earn some thing..you cant put zero..in for an answer..check the IRS website...

If you had no earnings, there was nothing deducted to go towrads EIC. Can't see it being possible.
