Most importantly, the media hated both of them because they marginalized and ignored the media. And because of their atttitude towards the media the wars were fought not on the battlefield but on the front page.

Well. I'm from Texas. So I guess I'm after oil. So is my hubby who's active duty military. He must have joined knowing that Bush would be in office so that he can get a share of the oil right?
Just like white men can't jump, blonde's are ditzy, Wisconsin is full of cheeseheads, all Californians surf.

With LBJ, the Democrats were fooled, with GW, the Republicans. Both Presidents used "bad intelligence" to escalate the wars(Gulf of Tonkin-Vietnam & WMDs-Iraq). Both with very deep political and business connections to oil. Iraq was the main exporter of oil to the US until Saddam cut us off(he was using chemicals to kill people in the 80s when Iraq was our ally-and Reagan, Rumsfield, Gates knew).
So, where does the oil revenue go now?????

they both had/have to deal with spineless politicians listening more to opinion polls than to actually trying to resolve the conflicts they were engaged in.
They were both trying to fight a enemy that does not follow the Geneva conventions, but had their hands tied by rules of engagement, international pressure and Anti-war protesters who did not understand the enemy would just as readily kill a soldier as they would an anti-war protester.
Yeah your right there are a few similarities after all.
