Home measurement is easier if done right. You take a soft tape measure like used in sewing and wrap it snuggly around your ribs under your breasts. That is the first number you need. Next you wrap the measuring tape around your bust at the biggest part so that it is snug but not tight (no bubbling around the tape measure). That is the second number. Now you subtract the two numbers and scale the difference. 1 is an A cup, 2 is B, 3 is C, so on in how the cups go up. And now to go back to the first number, that number becomes the number you use, such as I am a 40D, the 40 is the measurements around my ribs and D is my cup size. Do any convertions like with shoes and you should find a new bra that works great! Hope this helped, it worked for me when I needed a new bra!

buying the right bra is very important.
1 . Ask a friend to measure you with a flexible tape measure around your rib cage, right under your breasts, while you stand in a relaxed, natural position.
2. Add five to the number she comes up with. If the number is odd, round up to the next even number. This number is your frame size.
3. Now measure completely around the fullest part of your chest, holding the tape measure straight but not too tight. That number is your bust line measurement. Cup sizes range from AAA (very small breasts) to EEE (very large breasts). If your measurement is the same as the first one you took, your cup size is AA or AAA. If it's one inch larger, your cup size is A, two inches larger, size B, three inches larger, size C; four inches, D; five or more, DD or EE.
Although this will give you a pretty accurate measurement, you may wear a slightly different size, depending on the brand of the bra. Bras marked the same size can vary considerably so you might have to try on several to determine the right one for you.
Stay away from bras that pucker or squeeze your breasts. There should be no flesh bulging anywhere. Just like with the rest of your wardrobe, don't get hung up on the size. If the tape measure says you are a 34B but a 34C looks and feels more comfortable, get the 34C.

Got to any specialty bra shop in your area and they will measure you. Its best if you have someone else measure you, since it will be more accurate. Everyone should get measured every time you buy bras. Your size can change quickly without being aware of it.

well most times if you measure your back... under you bustline.. you take that number and put it to the cup that fits you best
like my back measurement is 34 so i wear a 34DDD... or i can wear a 36DD
the reason y my cup size is so big, becuase I have a small back and big boobs. So when I wear a 34D the bra's don't fit right, becuase the straps are too big.
I went to a lingerie store and the woman helped me to find my size. She said when you back is small but your busts are big... keep the sixe but double or tripple the cup size.
that's how I ended up wearin 34DDD
go to a good linerie store and ask them to help you

I know that some bra's have the measuring instructions on the bra tags, like on the actual hanger. Go to one of your local stors (for u.s. Walmart/Kmart) and see if have the instructions. Also try any longerie store.

In dance we have to measure our bust and they use a tape measure but i've also heard that you can go to the store and they'll do it for you! Awkward I know!

You can go to most lingerie shops here on the internet and it will tell you how to do it yourself. Also try www.lhj.com I did that one the other day and it was right. You may have to search a little bit on that site before you find it.
