i'm not really ready to date, but i like a guy and have no clue how to start talking to him. i'm painfully shy and he's not exactly outgoing. i sorta just want him to apparouch me. how do i get him to do that?

Think sexy. If nothing just flash him your thong strap, bend over a lot when you're around him or you could just accept that if he hasn't approached you after hoping he will for however long you're going to have to do it yourself and I think u shouldn't give yourself away so fast but try teasing him a little now and then, get him to open up to you. If he's an intellectual think about a topic you can delve into together! Otherwise try to smile, listen well, and if u find it not so easy to connect intellectually tell or show him what it is you like about him. If he likes it it is okay to push it even further. Maybe u 2 want to talk about music or share poetry... Just dabble in ideas till u find your way to connect with him. --

Okay same situation girl..only lol im ready to date, but i just wanna get to know him and see if he likes me back. I risk looks and smiles at him all the time, but yet he still hasn't approached me....
My best friend is friends with my crush's best friend...ha if that makes any sense at all. So there were times when he was just two feet away from me and we were talking with them, but he was sooo shy that he just kept busy with his ipod, or he was just not interested in my advances.
So do u have a friend that has some hookups? lol and then she can call them up and all of you can hang out and im SURE he would have to talk to you!
Or..you could catch him alone, like in a hallway or classroom.
See, my crush is close to the door so he always leaves the class early and gets there late. But ive seen him in the halls so many times now, that we look at eachother and smile...well mainly becuase he's always running to class and almost tackles me (varsity footballer)
Start off by saying a simple hi and a smile sometime.. if he catches on he should come to you eventually.

i wouldn't expect him to approach you. I would definetly do a move first, I have been shy before and it's just something you have to overcome. Anything can be a conversation starter, find out something that both you and him have in common and go from there on. Do not try to plan a conversation in advance, it's only going to make you nervous. just start with hi my name is .... and let it flow

well, the only choice for u is to grit ur teeth and do it. it might seem embarrasing, but once u start a conversation, it will flow continuously.
