This boy and I were friends, and there was talk that we both wanted to hook up with one another. I promised I wouldn't tell anyone, but I had this huge hickey on my neck, and my best friend noticed it. I could have thrown the "I was straightening my hair and knicked my neck" excuse at her, but she knows I'm more experienced with the hair straightener than that, and she asked who. Of course, she asked me about him in an e-mail and the girl next to her rudely read it, and then went to him and asked him. He's mad, and I'm pissed at myself. I asked him yesterday if I could call and talk it out with him, he agreed to it. Do you think talking to him about it would work things out a little bit, so we can at least be on speaking terms?

Yes, honesty is the best policy. Being up front and honest with him is the only way to go. You can't avoid the situation because it will only make things worse for the both of you and make you look bad. It was a simple mistake and we all make them from time to time. The ball will be in him court after you talk to him. He is going accept the mistake and forgive you or still be upset and he will have to deal with it in his own manner. At least he is being nice enough to hear you out. You will also be able to clear you conscience with him by doing the right thing. If it were me I would also politely confront the blabber mouth who ratted and told him. But then again it maybe best to let that one go because she could get defensive and stir up rumors. Regardless it was none or her business and immature to do what she did. Good luck I hope it all works out.........

First... why did you agree not to tell anyone? Is it because he didnt want anyone knowing? And why did he get so mad because everyone found out? Thats not cool at all girl. I know he is your friend but if someone asked me not to tell I would think they had a few skeletons in the closet. Before you go tryin to apologize you need to figure out y he made u promise not to tell... is it another girl? is he ashamed? I am really not tryin to hurt your feelings. I just know it would make me wonder if I were in your situation.

Why would you two keep it a secret that you like each other? I am assuming that both of you are of age to date. Now you have to ask yourself why he got so mad that you told. Is he in a relationship that you do not know about and that he doesn't want the other girl to find out about you? Something doesn't add up, maybe we do not have the whole story..............

yes! talking is always a good way to work things out. the fact that he agreed to talk means that he is ready to work it out.
unfortunately, it's hard to do something and not get caught. tell him you're sorry it happened, but you can't really change it.
if he really is a good friend, he'll forgive you. if not, he's not worth it anyway.

just tell him dat it was your fault n u r sorry for it n that nothin of dat sort wil repeat he will surely understand u ........
