My cat is 6 years old and has always been fine with this. He used to wee outside. A little while ago he had a water infection but we treated it and he was fine. Just a few weeks ago we suddenly started finding wee patches in random places all over the house (the shower mat, doormat, sofa etc.). Normally (like our other cat) he would meow at the door and we would let him out to wee, but he doesn't even meow anymore, he just wees where ever he can. Is there something wrong with him or is it just behavioural problems?

Difficult one, i have a similar problem with our cat. He also had a urinary infection. he is also spayed. For him it is definitely a behavioural problem. But also i think a question of leaving his mark. We have given him a litter tray inside which he always has access to and we force him to go outside at certain times of the day when we know he is likely to pee. Finally if we catch him at it we make loud noises and shout no at him this stops him at that moment. we then put him outside. These methods have only succeeded in improving things and have not completely cured him. Finally you can buy a spray to discourage this habit but i have no idea what it smells like. Guess it cant be any worse that cat wee.good luck

sounds like the cat still has some sort of infection. At that age, unless you've entroduced new cats to the house, or a new baby or something, it's probably not behavioral. Most cats will urinate odd places to signal you of a health problem.

The cat should be taken to the vet right away for further testing and treatment. Also, look into a product called Feliway. This will help if the urinating is behavioral (it comes in a spray and a plug-in. I use the spray on furniture i don't want my cat scratching--it works for that too, and it works beautifully. Check out their website for more information).

I hope your cat feels better soon. Best of luck.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/rRaPg

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

If you don't have him neutered this could be the problem because he is probably marking his territory you should spry some citrus smelling spray in these areas cats hate this smell and should put him off weeing in these areas

He might have a urinary tract infection. My cat gets one like once a year. She's always in a lot of pain and goes everywhere. You should take him to the vet to get treated.

Check for bladder infection. This is the #1 cause why cats stop peeing in their box because they think the box is causing the pain.

Your cat has scent confusion. Go to Petco.com or drsfostersmith.com and purhase Dumb Cat. Spray it on all the spot the cat has pee'd and let it do its stuff. It will get rid of the scent confusion and the cat will find the right place to potty.

My old boy cat was neatured and as he got older started marking his territory. Nothing really you can do about it. He is just getting old. Probably loosing kidney function or someting.

Cats are different that dogs, they don't understand NO very well.

It could be that he is still having problems, and needs to be checked. bladder infections are more serious in a male cat.
