No. I've been on many a plane! But it's good fun and people make out that planes are really dangerous, but to be honest, hardly anything ever goes wrong. I would say you should definatlely go on a plane at somepoint in your life, I find it really fun! x

It is completely safe. It is literally more dangerous to walk outside your front door every day then to get on a plane. They don't let the plane fly if the rubber cover for the foot pedal is loose, let alone anything actually serious. You are in good hands flying and shouldn't worry.

Take a deep breath, pack your bags and take your trip. Millions of people fly every single day and none of them get hurt. You can to.

No you shouldn't be scared. I have been on 10 different plane rides through out my whole life (and I am 12) and nothing bad has ever happened on a plane while I went on them, I am pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. this site may help you get some of your worries down also if my pep talk doesn't help.

Yes, it is safe. No, you shouldn't be scared. Flying in a plane is significantly safer than driving in a car, not just by distance but even by time. So if you're going to be scared of planes, logically you should be absolutely terrified of cars, which I assume you're not. The idea of having several kilometers of nothing but air beneath you can be unsettling, but trust me, it's a lot harder for a plane to crash than it looks like.

I have been on one flight, and enjoyed it. But I also enjoy driving, so the trip I took to Ohio last week, I drove for 6 hours one way.

Sounds to me that you are going out of the country, so your only other option would be boat, and that would take way too long.

Flying is relatively safe. You just have fear that the Media have put into you. I do not watch a lot of news because of the way they manipulate the story to get you "hooked" on what the story is about (in their opinion).

Take for example the Ice storm that happened last week. How many people died because "it is so terrible". A few people died, but not everyone who is in an ice storm dies...

Go for the flight, you are going to miss a lot if you don't.

No, flying is not scary once you are in the air. As long as you have something to do like and mp3/ipod or magazines or a book to read, you should be fine. make sure to include a change of clothes in your carry on bag just in case your luggage gets lost. if you have any needs or trouble finding your gate, ask a airline crew member and they will suit you with what you need. Most times your ears tend to pop during takeoff and landing, so make sure you chew gum, or suck on candy. Take Airborn, it helps you from getting sick on the airplane. You might also want a pillow, they airline pillows anre not to clean.

Very safe! The general rule, go with bigger planes, they are safer and are flown by the most experienced persons. Small planes are creepy and are flown by 25 year olds out of flight school. You might as well fly it yourself!

no flying on a plane is completly safe. an airplane is an airtight bubble. so everything will be fine. just bring this;
pillow
music
book
airborn
tylanol
water
sucky candy (i.e. lifesavers, mints etc) this will stop your ears from popping
u may want to bring sumting to eat lyke a sandwich or chips cuz airplane food sucks

If you are really super anxious, have the doctor prescribe a SMALL NUMBER of Valium or Xanax......Oh, and as always, I point out the true statistic that it is safer to fly than to drive/ride in a car.
