Only if each of us is willing to not only look at the good, bad, and ugly of our personalities, and be totally honest. Instead of putting responsibility on others or religious ideas, we then will take responsible for our own actions.
People tend to look at how they are attractive, good at heart, do good deeds, don't swear, drink, smoke, etc. But how many of us can look at what we have done wrong, mistakes we have made, having had intentions to hurt someone with words or actions, blame others when we are at fault, etc.?
Will doing so bring peace and love? I believe so. When each person has to look inside and see the ugliness of their personalities, be honest, and work to change themselves, we then become more empathetic, more understanding, and more tolerant of others. Each person would then be more responsible in thought, word, and deed, just by taking responsibility for themselves.
It's a hard thing to look inward and see our own "bad and ugly". It takes courage. Some will become depressed when looking at their true inner self. But, it gets better the more you admit your wrongs and work to fix them. This will indeed bring about a more loving and peaceful world.

There is no good thing inside us, and yes it is hard to see that. It will not bring peace and love, only a life submitted to the will of Jesus Christ . But while we enjoy some of that now, it will only be complete when at last we are with Him.

It is intensely painful to go through self-discovery. It produces rage, horrific grief, feeling foolish, alone, and frightened. But, yes, you do become more able to love and you experience more peace. You can always trade in another gut-tearing session of self-discovery for a deeper, more peaceful soul.

Not very hard if you try. Nothing will bring peace and love. Only one thing exists nowadays, war and hate.
