NO. You'll lose water weight and not fat weight so your weight loss will be short term and unhealthy leaving you dehydrated and cranky.

Also the body goes into starvation mode and starts to break up muscles for energy, making it harder to lose healthy weight

Don't do it

Look for a healthy weight loss of about 2lbs a week to acheive your ideal weight. Find what your body recommeneded calorie intake should be (2000 Cals for an average woman) and eat about 300 cals less

Professionals agree that the maximum of weight a person should lose per week is 2 lbs. This is the best way to ensure that you will be able to keep it off and this is best for the skin (it can sag if you lose too fast). If you take 5 -10 weeks to lose that 10 lbs, you'll have a much better chance of having that weight be gone for a long time. Losing weight is all about the quantity of food you eat. This is measured in calories. A healthy active female should eat between 1200 and 2200 calories per day. That also depends on your age (younger people need more) and other factors. You should go ahead and take one day to count calories. Eat like you normally do. That will let you know how you need to change your diet. For example, if you count up your calories and find that you have been eating around 2600 every day, then you should focus on cutting 400 calories out of your diet. You can do this pretty easily by ordering a small fry instead of a medium, having a salad instead of chips for a snack, cutting back on sweets or soda, or simply eating smaller portions. Don't overdo it, though. If you cut out more than you need to, then you're body won't be able to handle it and you'll binge and eat everything in sight. Moderation is key, extreme is bad. You should also add exercise to your daily routine. This helps the weight come off a little easier. It doesn't have to be boring. You can dance, get exercise DVD's from the library, ride your bike, take a walk with your friends in the evening, or even head to the mall.

hey let me tell you my story about losing alot of weight in a week or like four day.
It is the gayest thing ever. The only reason I did this is for my wrestling team.

OK last week on Monday I started the mooring at 152(a lean boy) I had to be 137 at Thursdays day at 5PM for weigh ins for those day I worked my *** of and loss it but let me tell you I didn't feel my best their wasn't a best in me because the only way to lose all that weight was for me to take out all this water weight which I need to live healthy but I did it Then that was all done I had to make it on saturday moring also so friday had on energy to do anything even go work out like you say you are going to do but let me say you won't work out with out some energy. I made it for that one also on saturday(crazy). After the frist match I wrestle I thought i was going to die even though I won the match I don't know how though because Like I said I thought i felt likr I was going to die. I just saying don't do it beacuse 10 pounds a week is really not losing weight it is all water which a drunk back so now I weight around 150 loss of what 1 or 2 pounds which is going to happen when you burn more calories then you take in. so do it slowly and you will have more energy and feel better because when I was cutting all that weight I wasn't myself at all (pretty mean)

but do what ever you think you need to do because I found a way to do it, dug very deep to make it but I did so you can decide what is you need to do then

No. Just no. Medically, fasting all day is terrible for you, especially if it's for over a day. Don't do it.
Even if you only eat a little, there's no way you'll be able to exercise. If you don't eat, you won't get any calories into you, so you'll have no energy. You'd most likely collapse, and we all know that's not good.

So not eating is bad for you, especially combined with exercise. So that diet plan won't work.

this is not healthy, you should not lose more than 10% of your body weight per month and that is for people that are over weight... It sounds as if you are already skinny. I think you need to talk to your parents.... they will be honest with you, they want whats best for you.. If that dont work try you counselor at school.

good luck...

And before going on such a drastic diet you should talk to a doctor.

This is not a good idea. You will actually wnd up losing muscle, not fat. If your body doesn't take in a minimum amount of calories, it thinks you're in a famine and your metabolism will slow down tremendously, which will hinder weight loss.
Plus, combining no nutrition with vigorous exercise can lead to you passing out and feeling lethargic.

With all that fasting, where will you be getting the energy to perform all those gymnastics and treadmills?
You need protein and food for energy. Food is fuel for your body. You'll end up in the hospital and probably heavier in the long run when your body tries to catch up.
And at that size, why would you even WANT to lose 10 pounds?!

Not doable.

This kind of crash dieting is not only unhealthy but can lead to rebound weight again, so when you start to eat normally again you quickly gain the lost weight back and more. Eat a sensible diet based on whole food, lots of fruit and veg, your weight should take care of itself

10lbs a week is way too fast. You'll lose energy and its very unhealthy. Maybe 10 lbs a month at most.

there's a piece of me that believes you're putting me on but if not, i feel obliged to tell you that you need help. i believe you'll be lucky to make it very far into you plan before you'll be in the emergency room. you don't need to lose weight in the first place. i hope you will find a way to put this notion out of your head and enjoy your youth and health while you have it. life's much too short as it is.
