We have her book but it seems to be out of print and our copy is falling to pieces. A web search just turns up a couple of references to the book, but does anyone know how to contact her on the net?

I've also done a search which didn't show any links to find her. I would suggest that you contact the publisher (HarperCollins) so that they can forward your letter to her. With regard to replacing your copy, you can check out amazon.com/canada or us or uk where there are used copies for sale.
