It depends what state you are in. In most cases you have a couple of days to take it back. They may not like it, but they will have to take it, although they may charge for mileage. But if you have been driving it several days, you are stuck with it, unless you are having problems, then the lemon law in your state would have to advise you on that. good luck!

There is no law in any state or at the federal level that gives a car buyer a right of return or cancellation. The people who posted comments to the effect that you have 48 or 72 hours to cancel the deal are simply wrong; there is NO SUCH LAW ANYWHERE.

If your contract with the dealer says you have that right, then you have whatever right is in the written contract. If the dealer is telling you that you can't bring it back then your contract doesn't give you the right and the dealer is correct.

All states have some sort of "Lemon Law" but that only applies to defective vehicles that the dealer or manufacturer has been unable to properly repair after a reasonable number of attempts. Lemon Laws do not apply to "buyer's remorse" situations, only to defective vehicles.

Unless you have something in writing that says you can bring it back, or if there's a defect that comes under your area's Lemon Laws, the car can't be taken back.

Unless, of course, you want to trade it in. But financially there's a logistical nightmare in that, if you bought it a day earlier.
