They get more money out of arresting for drugs then they do rapists.
1) They get the money that is found and can put it out on the street.
2) They put the drugs back out on the street to catch more people.

I don't think it's right either, but that is the way it is.

Rapists get jail and fine and are let backj out to hurt more inocent lives. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First and foremost..... The police only enforce the laws, not make them (legislature) or interpret them (the courts). Police have nothing to do with sentencing of criminals. If we did, believe me... many, many people would be in jail for ever.

And the drug this is about public outcry and quality of life. Drug use and abuse leads to blight in an area and destroys lives. If drug laws were not enforced, then the major players would never be put out of business and removed.

Also, the citizens WANT stiff drug enforcement. The only people who do not are drug users and dealers.

Are you kidding me? In any big city, you can see folks dealing right in front of you, I don't think anyone is spending much time nor money trying to rid the country of drugs. Also contact your legislature and demand that mandatory minimums be set for all sex offenders. It's not up to a police officer to decide how much time a sex offender does.

I think it's because of what happens to be the main concern at the moment. We hear about all the meth labs and want to put an end to them so that's what is the major issue for the day. Tomorrow, we may hear something about a child rapist, and our attention goes from meth labs to rapists.

The police department does not have anything to do with early release. This is something you need to take up with your state legislature they are the ones who make the laws. The police just enforcement them.

I personally know of a case where the original charges which were CONFESSED TO were 3 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation victim under 12 and one count of sexual battery on a minor under 12. Even though he admitted on tape to it all, he was offered a plea agreement of 3 counts of L&L BEHAVIOR only and sentenced to only 9 years 9 months.

Our only hope is that when the child rapists are in prison they will pay for their crime at the hands of another inmate.

That's such a good question. The government seems much more interested in taking away our civil liberties and freedoms then actually protecting us. I would much rather them be protecting us from actual criminal rather than stoners.
