I going to be doing a reasearch project for english. I can only do a topic that pretains to American contraversies. Any suggestions? I was think of doing abortion as my topic. Only American contraversies.

Gun control. Shows Americans to be bloodthirsty killers.
Creationism vs. Evolution. Shows how gullible 50% of Americans can be.

Abortion is a hot topic for sure. Others would include the war in Iraq, smoking, of late there has been a push to restrict the advertising of alcoholic beverages in certain area's ala the prohibition movement of the roaring 20's. You could also consider a piece on campaign reform in American politics, seperation of church and state which can be very controversial given todays political correctness. One example of this would be the fact that many businesses are hesetant to even use the word Christmas, instead choosing holiday. Another hot topic is gay marriage rights. I hope these help. Well, we have no lack of topics for that do we? Abortion is a good choice. There are also topics like affirmative action, immigration reform, the american presence in Iraq, prayer in public schools, the ever debated right of gay americans to marry, or the legalization of canibus.
