Pot cannot be stopped by State laws because there is too much money being made from drugs. If there were no drugs then the Police would not need a drug squad, Hospitals would not need a drug wing, there would be no need for large detox centers, drug dealers would have to go into other types of crime, Prison officials would lose their cash on the side for smuggling drugs into prisons. All the people in drugs will lose their livelihood and then they would leave the drug free state and move elsewhere.
