Depends on what you mean by harmless. As this question is in hair I'm guessing that you want to try to take these vitamins to make the hair grow faster. I don't know if a doctor will even give you prenatal vitamins just for that reason (as they are intended for the health of pregnant women) but if a doctor will then you should take the side-effects into consideration first. Nausea, constipation, black stools, and diarrhea are among the most common side effects associated with prenatal vitamins. I would recommend trying not to be impatient and letting your hair grow at its own pace.

Breastfeeding mothers continue to take prenatal vitamins even after giving birth (to help with maintaining proper vitamin levels for the baby) so I can't see that it would be harmful for you to take them to help with hair condition.
