it depends on your skins undertones, I have a yellowish undertone, and felt the same way you are when I had the blond, gold highlights...
The trick is to get some low-lights put in, like a medium golden brown...then once your hair is more brown with a few little bits of gold mixed in...it looks absolutely fabulous...But if you want to free your self from the blond completely, try a dark burgundy colored highlight. Its so awesome because in a low light situation your hair looks like a juicy brown, and in the sun, the burgundy glistens through.

Well, if you wanted to go dark, a chocolate brown would be very pretty I would think. If you would like to stay on the lighter side then a light to medium golden or bronzed brown would be pretty also. I would recommend getting this done professionally though. With all of your hightlights, and especially since they're a blonde, a boxed dye in the color of your choice might end up an odd shade on the highlighted pieces of hair.

I have olive, tan skin and green eyes and over long years of trying every hair color I could think of. I have found that Light Natural Brown looks best on me. When ever I put any kind of blonde in my hair it makes my face look tired and washed out. If you want highlights I would suggest carmel. It will help you keep that nice warm glow to your face. Hope this helps.

Personally, i think lighter colors look beautiful on darker skin, but since you have brown eyes its tricky to find shades to play your eyes color up that look good with your skin sometimes. With brown eyes, try to avoid cool colors, like silver, blue, etc. Stay to colors that are more earthy and warm. Such as brown, earthy green, gold, etc. I would reccomond using a goldish brownish colors, or even maybe something peachy. Not TOO peachy though. Like a dark/gold peachy. If that makes sense...Hehe. Also those colors with some shimmer would look nice. :) So try it out. Hope this helped!! xx

your natural color always looks the best. Bleached blonde hair is sooo out of style along with your streaks. I just have dirty brown hair and like 3 years ago i got very small highlights, you couldn't really notice them.

you sound exactly like me, tan skin with light brown hair and highlights. Try Chocolate Browns, and AVOID yellows or colors with yellow undertone (ie: lime greens, etc.) Those with just make you look sickly yellow. Other colors like Deep blues, or emerald greens. Rich purples too. and black is wonderful for slimming looks.

You did not say what part of your skin. It is different for each part. The parts that are most in the sun (usually face and arms) need a different colour than the parts that don't see much sun (usually neck to knees). For face and arms, you should use a light cream, with almost no colour at all. For the rest you should use a colour that is one or two shades darker.

Dark brown with mocha highlights would look great and try some Olive green eyeshadow. I know you didnt ask about that but it would look great with your skin.

Go with a chocolate brown color - you'll look gorgeous! You might want to try some golden-brown highlights.
