As everyone has said, your body is trying to rid itself of a toxin. But, there is a secondary reason as well. Being drunk can create "the spins" and make one very dizzy. This effect can also lead to vomiting. It's a similar feeling to motion sickness (which is why Dramamine can help a spinny/nausea hangover in some people.

Alcohol is literally a poison. When you have too much poison in your system, your body seeks to protect itself by forcing the poison back out. Hence, the vomiting.
