What is a good dvd burner to burn downloaded dvds?

I have downloaded a movie from limewire. I need a free burning software so that i can play it on a dvd player. I have burn4free and after I burn the dvd, and put it in the dvd player a message comes up and says, "Error does not have playback feature." Any info will be appreciated.

I converted all files using VCL Media Player

NERO Burning Rom or Nero 6 should do the job. Ask anyone, they'll say nero is one of the best software in the market. I'll be happy to help you if this doesnt work.
