does my car have an immobilizer?

how can i tell if my 2002 Toyota RAV4 has an immboilizer installed or not?? smaller key?

Look in your owner's manual... If your key has a visible chip or a fat or thick head that contains a transponder chip, then yes.

If it's a 2002, it most likely doesn't.

The best way to find out, is to sit in your car and ask yourself "do I feel immobile?". And "how do I feel about having a small key?"

when u turn the key to on the dash lites come on. look for some lite that sez security of anti theft ... or call the dealer..duh
