I sure hope they do. I don't mind having a christian in the White House...I look at his/her voting record and stand on social issues. I live in Texas and voted for Kinky Friedman for governor. He just seemed like someone who would not trample on the rights of others. That is what I look for in a leader. And there are christians who could fit that bill.
Oh and I agree with Anisha...Barak Obama just might have what it takes. I like him.

Intelligent Christians do not have an agenda aside from God's agenda. Intelligent Christians examine a candidate from a Biblical standpoint. Most pastors, ministers and priests operate off a denominational agenda, and therefore allow politicking in the pulpit. The pulpit has nothing to do with politics and should never be used for such purposes. The pulpit is about Jesus and only Jesus. Politics never saved anyone---only the blood of Jesus saves.

One of my Poly Sci teachers in College, a Young Republican who was an Elector for Nixon, pointed out a fact that is indisputable in voting.
People, when faced with humungus choices, tend to vote as follows:
1. For the one that says INCUMBANT
2. For the FIRST ONE from THEIR PARTY when 1 doesn't apply
3. The first on the list when 1 and 2 don't apply.
When it comes to ISSUES they tend to VOTE against ANYTHING that says in writing it will COST THEM MONEY
So a clean water bill to clean up their water will go down to defeate if it says This will cost $1 - 2 billion over the next 10 years.
If that same bill says NO SIGNIFICANT COSTS as this will be paid for by existing Fedeeral Funds
It will pass.

I do not know about the e-mail you speak of, but, he is a Republican, and Republicans voted for him, as well as the Evangelicals. Heavens! They are scary!
The 2006 election, 70% of these Evangelicals voted Republican, the polls show. However, enough fed-up Republicans voted Democratic-and saved us.
I do not think this Evangelical group will question, and ask, and decided who is best when the next election comes. They will just vote Republican.
So, everyone against them--please see who you think will do the best job, and go vote!
I will add, I am going to take a good look at Obama-he just might make a very good Prez.

I hope they do. I truly hope they do.
As a guy living in Holland, this world scares me more and more. 5% of the world population lives in the USA. That's a very small percentage. For some reason, their vote almost fully decides the future of a large part of the planet.
Democracy is a weird thing, when you look at it from a global perspective.

I always do my own research on voting records, backgrounds, PACS, etc.. That's the only way one can make an honest decision, otherwise, they shouldn't vote !

I would rather vote for someone strongly devoted to God without the ability to run a country and please 300 million people than a leader that can please everyone.
I would rather offend 300 million people unintentionly than disobey God in doing so.
You don't need ability to perform God's will, you need reliability.
And by the way, the media has been torturing Bush ever since they prayed in Jesus' name at his inaguration. Cut him some slack.
There is power in the name of Jesus, and Christians aren't standing up for it anymore.
Many of them are, but for the wrong reasons.
