how to find the Microsoft Internet explorer version on your system?

Pull down the help menu and select - About.

That will give you details on the version you are using and if you are curious there is also a system information tab that gives you all kinds of info on your system.

Open IE, on the menu bar on the top, go to "HELP" then click "About Internet Explorer"
