My son will be 16 in March and he needs help. I have tried just about everything I can think of except for sending him off to an expensive boarding school. I am a single mother and I do not have money but earn enough to be rejected by the system for assistance. My son is an Angry, defiant jerk. He smokes pot and has dabbled with other drugs. He is failing school. His father is around, but not a good person or role model. I would like to see my son get back on track before it's too late. Nothing seems to be working. I have tried counseling for years, taking everything away, calling the cops and more. I need to find a program or school that he has to be accountable to. He walks and talks all over me and I don't have any support from the father or friends. Thanks!

That is in Georgia. However they could refer you to something where you are. Hope that helps.

I'm sorry about you son's attitude and behavior. You could try searching the Internet, asking around or visiting a local police station. Answers.com might be a good place to start. Good luck!

I'm sorry about your dilemma. I wish I had an answer for you. If I were I think I'd go to a local police station and ask them. I'm sure they know of something. How about his pediatrician? His school's principle? I hope things work out for you.
