When i'm into it i like to tone up myself, i like strength but i don't think bulk is absolute requirement to be strong so to bulk up basically rip the muscle it mends and grows that's why it gets hot when you work it. To tighten it all up again and keep it all loose i strrretch the muscles instead into tensile sinews so to speak.

Drinking some extra water preferably inspected spring water (non clorinated) may help if edema is a part of the problem monitor your salt intake and try to stay the low side of range recommended to clean and enhance cellular metabolism.

It may seem strange to use water to rid the water gain but the trouble with edema is generally a disruption of the of the cellular and interstitial metabolism, so it works somewhat like a flood clears a drain, the more clear water through the faster it clears, juices are great for this

keep fluid

don't over do it

Listen to your body, flush it, but not too much at once.

It takes the muscle 2 days to heal, daily exercise doesn't give it the chance to bulk and grow that way.
