How do I record my home videos to computer?

I have been going through some old vcr tapes and found a 15 year old tape of my mom and brothers. They live in CA, whereas I live in PA. I would love to show them the video. I was wondering if there might be a device of some sort, that would tranfer the video/audio from my vcr TO my Computer.

Well. You need a video capture card for the PC, so you can hook up your VCR to the computer and then use software to create the video.
