"One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it. [emphasis added]"
LOL Quote from fundies say the darnest things. Just want opinions LOL I don't believe in evolution myself by the way. You'd think if a person was trying to disprove evolution they'd at least gone to school LOL

The 2nd law only applies to closed systems. As you pointed out, the Earth is not a closed system because the Sun supplies it with huge amounts of energy.

Yes, fundies do say the "darnest" things, especially when talking about science. ("stupidest" might be a better word than "darnest" in this case.) But then again, they really want to believe their fiction, so they only gloss over science.

Chaos IS increasing in the universe...it shouldn't be hard to see that...even on discovery time channel on a show they said that scientists have now proven that the universe is still expanding from the Big Bang and they don't know why..they were trying to see if the universe was compressing back to its source (ie such as a black hole) and when it would have another Big Bang.Where is the energy to do that coming from? They don't know. And they also said there is more matter in the universe than there should be and they don't know why that is either.

Even bacteria evolve to become immune to antibiotics...yet any disbeliever in evolution will still want the newest strongest antibiotics, not the older ones that worked on older bacteria before they evolved.

As far as evolution being as it is claimed to be by those who have no reservations about claims being made by the scientific community: We do want to keep an open mind and use the best scientific method. There are no end to decent theories that eventually failed to match up to the actual facts. A theory is based in what are believed to be facts, however facts have a way of being nudged aside by better facts and not just in science.

In 1892 at the Chicago Worlds Fair some scientists put up a sign proudly announcing that science had arrived at the end of its search for knowledge. There is still some of that going on today.

We all need to be careful of making the ideas that we embrace a hammer that can be used socially, politically and scientifically to beat some other poor sap down who doesn't happen to embrace our ideas. Controlling what people believe has long been recognized as essential to the aims of the elite. One day, as the "end justifies the means" operations are dropped in favor of justice, peace, harmony and the other human virtues we will have public dialogue that will make sense. Right now there is a lot of illegitemate manipulation going on to steer events and understanding in favor of some desired outcome.

They also ignore the fact that if Earth were a closed system, life itself couldn't exist. It's amazing what lies you get when they try to explain why life is exempt from the scientific lies they misapply.

"giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy."

You mean, maybe, the Sun?
