It will replace Windows XP, there are many versions and what you use it for will determine which one is best for you and at what price. It should be available in the UK at the end of January and to purchase just go to local computer shop, or any of the on-line computer stores like Ebuyer, Dabs, Scan Computers. Just type Windows Vista into a search engine and check out the links for stock and prices

You are correct, vista is the newest widows ,go to microsoft windows home page and it will tell you all about it there. It will test your computer and hardware (printer, etc) to see if it is compatible for vista ,not all computer will be.So read the instutions carefully and ask if you dont understand something ,no matter what, for its true what people say every question is easy if you know the answer but bloody impossible if you dont.Thats the real good thing about the internet there is all ways someone willing to help, just ask.good luck.

I bought my wife a new laptop and it came with where to go. But it also came with media center which has alot of the Vista features. BUT........... not be so fast to get it. Your computer may have the speed to run it but not fully use it properly. Everytime Microsoft comes out with something new there are always huge issues. Personally I am going to wait a while until the dust settles.

It's the "latest thing" from MS, supposed to replace XP. Due out any moment now. Personally I'm leaving it for a year or so until more software & drivers are availabe for it. Hopefuly, it'll be lessy buggy then too.

You'll need to purchase the new windows version. If you buy a new computer it may be already installed.
