Thank You for asking that..It ain't working for us.I have been raised in the church all my life and after many years I got out. This organized religion is a bunch of crap.I watched so many minister drive around in there new cars new suits big Church etc.And yet half the members don't even have a car or much food.I can't see it anymore.I will rather go out and feed the hungry help the kids in the hood/time money before I give a minister another dime for his church.

Well, I certainly don't pay mega bucks to get to Heaven. If that is how you think you get to Heaven you are in error. We spread the gospel throughout the world because that is what Jesus told us to do. We plant the seeds of salvation and let the Holy Spirit take it from there. I find Christianity is working just fine for me and I do support a ministry that teaches the Bible world wide. Some spend their money on booze and things of the world. I like to give mine to giving the good news of Christ. And it is spreading.

You do'nt have to pay mega bucks to anyone. This is the way collect money for their personal extravaganza. They create fear in the minds of the gullible. They will quote extensively from scriptures and warn you of dangers and so on..
Please be careful not to waste your hard earned money. If possible give to the needy, give them shelter, food or medicine. This is real charity and when you do this your passport to heaven is ready if you really believe in such a place.Besides you can sleep peacefully because you have brought smile on the face of the less fortunate.

Not all ministers are paid mega bucks. I think you are confusing the ones that are televangelists or preachers with huge congregations that are making the money. God provides for the birds in the field without being asked to, how could he do less for his beloved children, especially those that further his word and his teachings?

I am not paying mega "BUCKS" to get into heaven. What I am paying as an offering is to upkeep the house of the lord, pay for the ministers salary, things like that.

Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Do not be mislead into thinking a minister or anyone else can get you there.
Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

We pay MINISTRIES mega bucks (yeah sure, the head guy gets a great salary he decides for himself, after all he's the head guy, just like when Congress votes themselves a raise).
Ministries don't whip McDonalds on the world. That's Capitalism and Imperialism.
I don't think Apple Computers qualifies as a Christian Ministry, but they sure whip IPods on the world!
I don't think Microsoft is a Christian Ministry, but they sure whip Windows XP and Vista on the world.
I don't think Sony, Warners, BMG and Paramount are Christian Ministries but they sure whip entertainment on the World, often with sex and violence.
That's our export!
We're the world leader at whipping 501 Jeans on everyone!

And what ministers are you talking about. 95% of the ones I know of have at least masters degrees and make less than $2,000 a month... Not the kind of career you would go into for the money... Jim

I drive a ten year old truck, work as a machinist 40-60 hours each week.
I have never taken one dime from the Church.
And yes, I am licensed and ordained.
