Usually a medication is good for one year from date of dispense unless otherwise noted differently. After that they begin to loose their effectiveness.

I'm sure as with all medication that the Amoxycillin you got has an expiration date on the bottle. Now the medication has that expiration date on it for a reason most meds don't go bad on that date but they tend to start to degrade and loose strength. So the problem being is not if they are BAD but will they be strong enough to fight the infection or week and cause problems with empowering the strain and keeping other ani-biotics from working.

oh, my! I would ask why you have unused antibiotics.....If you've recieved a prescription and didn't finish it, you are breeding some of those nasty little bacteria that are resistant to being killed off by drugs. Always, ALWAYS finish your antibiotics...even if you're feeling better, you may have some of the organisms left in your body that caused you to be sick in the first place. All it takes is one of those little suckers......but all the other responses to this question is fairly correct. Just to be sure, you should ask your pharmacist....
