I know this sweet and sensitive guy, and I am one of his many friends that are girls...

I don't want to be mean, but I am more attractive than most of the friends of his that I've already met. I also am a little more intelligent than him (I am better Mathematically, but he is very good with Literature) And tend to be stronger emotionally, but colder than him also.

Do I intimidate him? Because I am really attracted to him, and don't want to scare him away, or have him think I am too good for him... (I don't think I give the impression off)

There is a world of difference between maths smarts and analysis smarts. He may very well think you aren't as smart as him because you can't work out what Shakespeare is talking about, when to him it's obvious. Stop going back and forth in your mind wondering why and just ask him straight out. There's also a big difference between shy and being introverted. His thoughts may be going a million miles an hour, he just might not express them to anyone else. From what you say, he might have trouble expressing himself, so my advice is just straight up ask him if he wants to go out. Stroke his ego a bit. But if he is highly introverted, he'll need to gain trust first. One way you could advance this is by sharing something secret with him and asking his advice. Tell him you value him as a friend and value his advice. People like him (or at least from the sounds of it how you've described him) appreciate intamacy more than they let on, and it will mean a lot to him that you consider him trustworthy.

Once again - good luck!

You might want to find out his interests or hobbies. If it's sports, read the sports page in the newspapers and ask his opinion on his favorite team, player or a technical question about the sport. Show an interest in what he likes.

You may just have to come out and say exactly what you just put in your question. Sounds like he's too afraid to make a move....
