I am sorry but what is God?

He is neither. He is full of compassion, is the very personification of love and is omnipotent.

Why then does he not do something about all the wickedness and injustice? For very compelling reasons. It involves the sanctification of His name, the vindication of His universal sovereignty, and the response to the challenge that all humans worship him for purely selfish reasons. These issues are now being settled. During this time, he is refraining from bringing speedy destruction upon all the wicked and all wickedness.

Neither does he test humans with such sorrowful events. James 1:13-15 makes it perfectly clear that God does not test us with such things. He allows trials but he does not bring them upon us. There is a difference.

But make no mistake: He will soon demonstrate his overwhelming power and deliver all those who are sighing and groaning over the detestable things happening on this planet.

God is not a sadist or a powerless being.

American Atheist :

No,God isn't part of anyone's imagination either.
Just because you refuse to believe that doesn't mean that God doesn't exist.

Neither. God gives us free will and suffering helps us to grow spiritually. God tests those He loves.

He would only be a sadist if there was no afterlife.

Jesus is the sin bearer. God laid on Christ the guilt of all men and we get off scott free! It required more than emotion to receive forgiveness based on What Christ did. It requires an act of your will. Have you ever acknowledged your sin before God?

Don't be afraid, God will not condemn you....He will direct you to the cross of Christ.....and you WILL receive forgiveness AND eternal life......It is His pleasure to extend mercy .
