To the best of our knowledge modern man did evolve on the Continent of Africa. The color of our skin , our height , our hair , the way we may have looked would have depended on the number of generations spent in that environment. Our skin may or may not have been dark. We can make highly accurate guesses as to what the climate was like then and yes we in all likely-hood had dark skin.

I wish what we'd learn from this is that we're all part of the same family. There is so little genetic code that seperates the races from one another it makes us look inbred compared to practically any other species on the planet. In the same breed of dog, the same breed, you'll find more genetic variation than seperates all our races. Yet we've built up so much anymosity, over some superficial differences caused by a few snipets of 4 letter code and essentially meaningless political and religious differences that we've seen fit over the years to slaughter each other by the millions. I guess, all I am saying is, "Give peace a chance."

Its not about black and white. Its simply about all being from Africa. Besides, that was millions of years ago. Get over it.

Hi. No more than we are all white, red, yellow, brown. Humans adapt to the environment (at least until recently).

Yes. According to geneticists and archeologists, as well as the Biblical accounts, we all share a common African ancestor, and we all have the capacity to be dark skinned. #Hello Family

Actually, we are in a sense. We all have the same pigment in our skin - just to varying degrees.
