That we deny god? That may be the defination in some obviously christian biased dictionaries. So how do you deny something that doesn't exist? Saying we deny it means you have substantial proof that it is there.

Now you get it. Go tell your friends. There is a God!

Christianity believes that they are right and you are wrong. That's all there is for them. You're wrong. I wholeheartedly believe that they are just fooling themselves, but they wholeheartedly believe that we are going to go to hell and burn for not believing. But if I don't believe in their hell rather in reincarnation or in spiritual transcendence does it really effect me in any way shape or form? Christianity as a whole would have you believe that just because they have a book means that they have all the proof they will ever need. But doesn't the Church of Satan have a book too? Islam has the Quaran, so doesn't that mean they are correct too? If you feel that you don't subscribe to the religious brain washing, good for you for using your brain and realizing that just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean that its right. Think of it this way if all of your friends started snorting coke, because all of their friends were doing it, then told you if you didn't you couldn't be their friend anymore. Isn't that pretty much what religion tells people that if they don't follow the fictional story in a book that they are going to be ostracized? Another good thing: denying that "god" is a way of denying the religious machine of more income to pay the child molesters.

But if there is no proof that it doesn't exist, how can you say "how do you deny something that doesn't exist?"

Both sides of the Christian/Atheist debate bore me at times...

Yes, you deny the concept of God. IN YOUR OPINION God doesn't exist. Just as many Christians say Evolution is non-sense. They deny Evolution.

What's the problem here?

This is a paly on words. Saying you "deny"something does not imply that there is evidence to it's existence. That is your own interpretation. It is correct to say that athiest deny the existence of god.

It's a silly term but I proudly announce I'm an atheist. I think saying you're agnostic just encourages people to think you're conflicted over their particular imaginary deity. I say atheist and I hope it jars some people into realizing it's perfectly acceptable to not believe in fairy tales and that morality doesn't depend on faith in the improbable.

I disbelieve in God. I don't make any statement about God not being able to exist-he could but in the absence of evidence I don't accept that he does.

Atheist is the word theist with the negative Greek prefix "a-". It is the opposite of a theist.

But so many cannot comprehend how someone could not believe, therefore it must be denial. And don't forget, many believe that they do have proof. It's in the book, you know.

No belief in.

To even acknowledge it implies an undestanding.
