Some states don't suspend you license until 100mph. Some suspend it based on the mph you going overs the posted speed limit. If you pay the fine, saving the court some time, your license will likely not be suspended. If you go to court to "fight" it, it may be suspended.
As fas ar the officer showing up. He likely will. What you need to realize is that sometimes court falls either on our day off, or when we are off duty. If we go to court, we get into overtime. Now, sometimes, if the only tickets we issued were very minor ones(ie. 62 in a 55, rolling a stop sign, etc.) we will be told not to make court if it going to be overtime. But, with a citation such as yours, likely the officer will be told to make it to court no matter what.

Yes, if the officer shows and you "loose" at disputing the ticket your fee will be the same.
However, you can go to traffic school to remove this ticket from your record, since it's your first one. But if you get another ticket within (3?) yrs you will not be able to traffic school that one away.
Contact the court to see if you will still be able to go to traffic school if you dispute and then loose. Or call a traffic school and ask.
Best of luck, slow down!

It will still be the same fee if you fight it, but you will lose the right to attend traffic school and keep it off your record. (Therefore, keeping your insurance from going up). It's going to be expensive, so brace yourself, but not as expensive as if your insurance company finds out.
At least try to go to a traffic school that gives you something free. Comedy show tickets, pizza, whatever.

You may have your license suspended because of the mph. I don't know what your laws state there. Be prepared for the worst. It only shows you're considered a reckless driver and a speeder. That's how the court will view it.

Not sure just how you plan to argue the fact that you were caught exceeding the posted speed limit by 30 mph. Just bite the bullet, pay the fine and consider yourself lucky that your speeding only cost you money and not somebody's life.
