Software Email (Outlook, whatever) - Find what you would click on in the Start menu, right click instead of left click, and select 'Create Shortcut'.

Or, Root Drive (usually C) > Program Files > Email client (usually Outlook) - Find the .exe file you would click to open, right click, and 'Create Shortcut'.

Online Email client - I don't know if you can put this on your desktop, but you can put it in your quick launch, or as an addition button in IE. Just google search 'Custom button' for that.

right that's an trouble-free way of springing up shortcuts to any internet site you have stored on your favourites, or bookmarks in case you're utilising Firefox. Open your browser, yet make it smaller so which you are going to see part of your workstation, click on your favourites then choose a link and carry down the splendid mouse button and drag it to the workstation.

Go to your email's sign in page and then on the top left click "File", then "Send" then "Shortcut to Desktop". A shortcut should then appear.
