How do I get him to fall for me?

Recently reconnected with an old friend of mine he and I would be perfect together and some of our mutual friends think so as well what is the best way to get him to realize we should be bf/gf without scaring him away or seeming too desperate?

i guess you should just be yourself....don't rush in too much or he'll be scared away....let your friendship flourish first..
