Unfortunately, in the shortening of their words - things have gotten jumbled or relaxed.

All it is, that I'm saying - Alls
You all - Y'all
D-Geet jet? - Did you eat yet
You guys - youse (not sure how that happened though)
Sangwitch - sandwich
There are a myriad of others -

To me it's no more annoying than those that have decided to immigrate to the U.S. and don't bother to learn an ounce of our language, thus costing us millions - and paying higher wages to translators - to accomodate them.

Yet, I smile when I hear a foible such as these and think - I love America!

P.S. This is NOT a slam against immigrants at all. My mom is an immigrant from Italy - she learned our language quickly.

I believe that "term", along with others such as "youse" (when are "youse" guys coming over), or "yute" (The "yute(youth) of America...), "y'all (Y'all come back now), "axe" (Why don't you "axe"(ask) him), are unique to different groups throughout the nation...you're right, tough, sometimes it's very annoying to hear there words spoken;

Pretty much like,"ain't" isn't a word either. I hate when people use it in a sentence.

Find conversation partners who speak the way you like. Otherwise, worry about your own speech and your children's, and learn to relax.

Move to a place where people don't speak like that. (I'm assuming you live in the US? lol)
