I bought a DAB made by PURE when they first came out. It is brilliant and slightly updated models are still selling for about the same price as I paid a few years ago. I also got a new one for Christmas, it's also by PURE and is the 'Chronos CD' the version without the CD player was the best selling DAB clock radio last year. When my boyfriend bought mine in December the guy in the shop said they had sold all their stock in less than a week. I would definitely recommend a PURE radio.

I bought a Pure Elan digital radio, and am very pleased with it.

It looks stylish and modern (unlike many retro designs), and the sound is crystal clear and does not distort, even at higher volumes.

Before you do buy one, check that the signal strength is adequate in your area.

Go to the BBC web site, there is a page where you enter your postcode and they predict how good reception is.

Where I live, (to use a technical expression), it's crap.
