I think that British Soldiers have a right to expect their government to do everything possible to equip them for the mission and protect them from as much danger as possible.

There's an unwritten agreement in the forces that the troops will follow orders and risk their life without asking questions. In return, they expect their government to be honest, only deploy them into combat as a last resort and if war is unavoidable, they should be armed and protected.

They should also be paid much more.

How can Tony Blair send them into battle on false intelligence and force them to use boots that melt, guns that jam, vehicles that aren't armour plated and not even supply personal body armour.

It's so, so low and immoral

NO, Only Vehicle commanders and Drivers should carry a pistol.
If in a firefight, a Pistol is no use as the accuracy of the weapon is rather poor.
I can assure you that is what happens and will continue to stay that way.
For close quarter and anti ambush in vehicles they are superb as you dont have a big rifle in the way trying to fire.

Sure peple understand how much we dont need a pistol.
A waste of time, and belt space.

pistol sounds good for close armed combat. i dont feel easy about a guitar plucking beatnick who has never served in armed combat, sending men to war.churchill was a warrior and had to send men to war. but wouldnt if he felt he didnt have to. blair is an armchair warrior, he sounds like a woman when he speaks he seems more bitchy than manly.those who come home wounded he cares less about. is it penny pinching or something more sinister.

YES!!! Should be getting the best training and equipment. About time Tony Blair went back to Iraq, this time to spend a few weeks with the troops around Basrah!!

That might just make a man of him but I doubt it.

As many human beings have mentioned right here, its greater effective than possibly its some style of scam or somebody dodgy. whether there's a lot of danger for him to circulate on line down there for the time of down time. there's no injury to talk to him, till he starts to ask for issues like economic enterprise info, YOUR handle, something own you does no longer supply somebody head to head. there's no reason till he's particular provider that he does no longer demonstrate his Regiment. If he grow to be particular provider, he does no longer be on a relationship internet site attempting to tug, a lot greater powerful experienced than that.
