I'm not sure 'tested' is the appropriate word here. I have witnessed the power of prayer. Prayer is not a wish list. You don't say 'God give me this' and poof there it is. Prayer is a conversation with God - and as in any conversation, you also have to listen. I have seen God do some pretty impressive things. I have felt His presence, His love, His peace. I've personally been healed from an affliction. I've seen Him change people (for the better). When studying His Word, I have had things brought to my attention or revealed. Pray without ceasing - it means be in constant contact with the Lord God Almighty, not repetitious verbiage, but knowing that He is right there and acknowledging His presence.

One day I prayed with my ex-girlfriend, and felt so hopeless after that as if it was a waste of time. That same night, I finally was able to meditate for the first time, and God told me that it will be okay. Prayer is like magic. But magic never works unless you believe it. And you can't believe it if you can't visualize it. But "testing" God with prayers, is like thinking you are going to rub a genie's lamp! It doesn't work that way. You must be humble.

Well,I prayed that I would get up at 8:30 so I could go into school, and I was worried I wouldnt, but I put it in Gods hands because he can do ALL things.I woke up at 8:27!

I prayed for my sister to get better from her cancer, and she found out that she only has a couple more treatments left to go.

The guy that I've liked for 3 years was in an awful car wreck. He almost died. But thankfully he didnt, and when he was at the hospital they thought that he had a broken neck or a fractured skull and they also said that he had tons of broken bones.I prayed(along with many other people)and nothing was wrong with him.No broken bones,no fractured skull,no broken neck. The only thing that was sorta messed up was his nose. But the damage was so minimal you couldnt even tell something was wrong with it.He couldve ended up in much worse of shape.Thankfully he didnt.
~Thanks God and Jesus~

I have not tested the power of prayer, but I believe in it completely, by faith. Are you asking for a specific example of answered prayer? (so many, hmmm)

I was driving on an icy road and my car started sliding towards the ditch - I had no control, I was going in. I prayed (quickly!) "God help me!" Somehow (hands of angels?) my car just popped right back up on the road. I was stunned for a moment, then began laughing! It was pretty cool.

I prayed & tested the power of prayer for years. My determination is that I wasted a lot of years on prayer and I'm done now.

Okay how is this for testing the power of prayer. One Saturday night a few months ago I got to bed pretty late. When my alarm went off for church I just didn't want to get up. I was tired and it was rainy but I also didn't want to miss church. I asked God to show me a sign if he wanted me to get my butt out of bed and go to church. The sign I asked for was silence-no sounds of the rain at all, not even a drop of water. It was raining pretty good and lulled me back to sleep. Ten minutes later when my alarm went off again I turned it off and heard total silence. Not even a dog barked, car drove by (we live off a busy road) or rain drop. Nothing. I took it as an answered pray and got out of bed and went to church. The message that was preached was something that at that time in my life I really needed to hear. I thank God for answering my prayers. If it is in his time he will answer them.

prayer has always worked for me.
sometimes he said no and sometimes yes.
God has been good to me.

I wanted to go to nursing school. there were 13 spots and over 500 applicants.
I was accepted and chosen. My church friends and pastor prayed me thru nursing school.I studied hard and passed with flying colors.
I was 45 been out of school over 25 years and had no medical experience and not that smart.
I ask God for favor; to help me to be accepted . He did..

I make a difference in peoples life and support myself and children in a decent standard of living. I got chosen over a lot of younger smarter people.
He provided for me while i went to school and helped me Thur every test. I had test anxiety and math was not my favorite subject,
I am a good nurse and i love much.
I have seen God ease people's pain and suffering.
I have seen them cross over.
I have seen unbelievable miracles.
I seen a real angel in a patients room once.
I have felt a holy presence as Jesus came and they saw him.
I didn't see him with my eyes but felt his presence.
Once he touched my shoulder as Iwas praying with a favorite patient. I am serious.
I do hospice.
Few people that work hospice are atheist and don't believe in prayer and a after life! You can chose to believe or not . that is your choice. It dosnt make it less real.

Thank God for unanswered prayers. Sometimes when I pray I feel like I don't get an answer but later on in life I figure it out that what I wanted wasn't right for me. I never get mad at him I just am glad he cares.

The day I was Ordained, a little girl I did not know was injured in a horse accident. She was in a coma. I was called by God and some of her friends to pray for her. I went to the hospital, and laid hands on her and anointed her and we prayed.

Three months later, she was still in a coma.

I got a "still small voice" message from God that said: "You are my Priest now. Say a healing Mass for her".

We did. At 12:00 Noon. At 12:30 she woke up for the first time.

That was eight years ago. She is now a college graduate and has a career in advertising.
