If you meet someone you really like and want to be in a relationship with them, then do. If you don't, then don't worry about it. You'll meet plenty of people at uni, but don't go out with someone for the sake of it, or it won't be a "loving relationship", get the love (or at least like and fancy) bit first and worry about the relationship later. People spend too much time thinking that they should be with someone when really they should just be happy with themselves until one day, all of a sudden you'll find yourself thinking "crikey, he's gorgeous, oh and he's a nice guy, and good fun and interesting"...know what I mean?

Yes of course men will always be there but time to study and set your self up for a good life only happens once while you are there make the most of it and when you are settled and know where you are goin in life thats when u can settle down with some1 as long has you have friends and family you shouldnt feel lonely. xx

Neither. Both is lovely :) Being a similar age myself, I can tell you that being with someone at this age is both a curse and a blessing. A curse in that your mind wanders from grades and things, but a blessing inthat you have someone to be with.
You can live a happy and fulfilled life both ways round, don't stress about it. If a chance comes up, take it. If not, don't worry about it.
Take care and enjoy what you have. There are always things we think will make our life better, and they don't always. :)

Sure you do. 17 is probably the most stressful age of your life, and having a boyfriend would only add to that stress. Just hang out with your friends and treat yourself the way you'd want a guy to treat you.

Once you hit uni you'll not believe you were so worried.
It's all about the opposite sex, drinking and a bit of work - it was when I went!
Great times will be had.
Avoid a pre uni relationship, it will fail.

I'm 17 and I've been going out with a boy since one year... Maybe is the perfect person to talk about your problems, because he can understand you better than maybe your friends. I think is good being with someone and have fun ;-)!!
Sorry for my bad English, this is the first English answer because I'm Spanish... it isn't bad, is it?
