The only thing a 2Gb memory card will give you is the capacity to take more pictures. However, I think you will find that by the time you fill up a 1Gb card your battery pack will be run down. If you are thinking of going for more than 1Gb of memory card, it might be a good thing to buy another battery at the same time.

It really depends on what speed the card is. Your camera deserves a high speed card, and if you're only using a standard one, then your shot to shot performance etc will suffer.
I would highly recommend a reliable brand such as Sandisk, which has a lifetime warranty.
Look at the Sandisk Extreme III CF card, which is available in various capacities ranging from 1GB up to 16GB!

Sandisk is a innovations-blowing style and great. look at the two the extreme III CF or extreme IV CF enjoying cards. do no longer forget approximately to format it in the previous you employ it...and eveytime once you have uploaded all photographs on your workstation.

Well if your 512 is only a standard card & you buy a decent one instead Sandisk Ultra II / extreme III you will have faster write times .
It will clear your buffer faster & take pictures at 3fps for longer ,so Yes is can be better ,
See link for write times

Remember, the more GB the more pictures you can take, GB improves memory capacity, so theoretically you should have 4 times more picture taking.

That's like asking if the gas you use will make your car drive better.
No, but you will be able to take more pictures before you have to delete images.
