God wants you to pray about everything. Pray for the team members, for health, that no one gets hurt, that everyone has a good time.

I think it's ok to pray to God for help about anything. I pray about everything, big and small.

We can take ALL concerns to God. Just talk to him and tell him how you feel about your sport.

Football: yes.
Baseball: no (rely on rites and superstitions).
Basketball: yes.
Figure Skating or Gymnastics: yes, of course.
Hockey: no.
Soccer: no.
Rugby: Heck, no.
Skiing: yes.
Volleyball: no.
Mountain climbing or scuba diving: no (and man, you'd better have something better than prayer to work with).
Sky diving: check with the others in your group.
